The Relay Operations Centre (ROC) plays a vital role in keeping orders on the move for e-commerce giant Amazon. As its team grows, we were asked to help new staff joining the ROC to feel welcome and supported, helping them to hit the ground running from the start. The onboarding needed to outline what it's like to work as part of the ROC and set out what's expected from everyone in the team, and enthuse them to get going!
With only one chance to make a good first impression, we knew that our creative would need to make a big impression from the start. We looked at the main challenges they would be facing and mapped out the journey, showing how the team's actions would help the business to achieve its mission. Our detailed blueprint was designed to tell the story of the ROC in a simple and compelling way.
We appealed to the team's emotions by adding a powerful voiceover to a dynamic 3D graphic with an inspirational message delivered in verse. We really wanted to make it easy for the team to get their message out, so we came up with a handy editable trainer presentation. This helped to make the connection between each vital individual in the team and all its partners across the world, showing how they strain every sinew to get parcels to their destinations on time.
