To design and build a concept electric vehicle (well a 3D visual anyway!). Then within it showcase Arm's capabilities in a captivating way, incorporating multiple electronic control units (ECUs) to represent applications housing Arm-designed semiconductors.
Our first task was to design a near-future mid-sized electric vehicle. (Luckily we just had to do the fun, aesthetic bits and not worry about how it might actually work - although it needed to at least look feasible!) Creating a bespoke model was important as it needed to be visually elevated above commonly available imagery. Stock imagery was never going to cut it in this case! And it was well worth it as the result is stunning and perfectly represents Arm's brand and design capabilities.
We used areas of transparency and cut-aways to show the ECUs containing the semiconductors (these are the important bits). Although Arm's technology appears throughout the vehicle, we couldn't show it all, so we chose key parts such as the dashboard display, central console and the batteries & motors that drive the axles (which we learnt is referred to as the 'skateboard').

Static visuals done, we also created an animation to be used as an exciting presentation opener and within a social campaign to journalists and target customers. Here an extra element was added - a scenic backdrop with a single cloud to represent the data cloud and how instant software updates are provided. Although a bit cheesy, we love the simplicity of this and the message is immediately obvious without needing explanation, which is perfect for online.
Let's explore creativity together.
