The challenge

World famous components business RS PRO was keen to make sure that everyone knew about its industrial supplies own brand. We were challenged to prove that businesses couldn't do without RS PRO essentials- and whatever we devised needed to work online to reach far-ranging audiences.

After talking in detail to the RS-PRO team, we had a brainwave about creating a unique 3D-modelled character to act out the best things about the brand and breathe life into it. Our initial concepts were swiftly adapted to respond to the global pandemic - luckily demonstrating how flexible our idea was! Initial outputs focused on hygiene, health, and safety with an emotional appeal to do the right thing and look after your people at work.

An animated 3D robot
is born!

Once we had got under the skin of the sub-brand, our funky robot character started to take shape. Nobody could resist the cheeky animated RS PRO-BOT character whose activities to clean up the workplace were full of energy and fun. The RS PRO-BOT's fast-paced activities showed exactly what the service could achieve in the workplace. With an upbeat soundtrack and a sprinkling of special effects, the RS PRO-BOT is seen saving the day with its superpowers. The much-loved RS PRO-BOT's antics were viewed 15 million times on YouTube (not all by us!) and won Bronze at the Transform Awards in 2023.

Still going strong

Making his debut in May 2020, over three years later RS PRO BOT's acting career isn't over. He continues to take the lead role in many an animation to showcase services and products, with his work reaching audiences across Europe.
